In response to the unprecedented number of people fleeing conflict in Ukraine we are currently donating the full sales price of every item sold to our community & partners in the region dedicated to helping those who desperately need our help at this time. Our team are co-ordinating and distributing emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothes and trauma resilience / wellbeing training & support
We're working with a number of organisations and volunteer kitchens in Ukraine to provide free food to those displaced by the war, isolated on the frontlines or in liberated territories.
For example, our friends at Lviv Vegan Kitchen provide hundreds of free hot meals every week to refugees and internally displaced people in Lviv, as well as supporting individuals and communities on the frontline, despite the power outtages and supply shortages.
A gift purchase of just £2.00 allows them to provide a nourishing hot vegan meal for one person at their kitchen in Ukraine.
Gift purchase a coat for either an adult or a child and we will personally deliver it to one of our partner shelters and to the most vulnerable people in the communities we support in Ukraine.
We regularly supply deliver essential humanitarian aid to the hardest hit in Ukraine. As we go into the depths of a harsh winter we are encountering many children and vulnerable adults in shelters and in isolated communities living without a regular source of power or heating. And many of them, forced to spend nights in freezing shelters, dont even have a coat. Buy a coat for one of them and we guarantee it will be put directly into the hands of those who need it the most.
At Fierce Calm we believe its up to the student to decide whether they want to be adjusted. For teachers, our adjustment cards are a key aid to help you support your students by creating a safe space to practice.
Gift purchase a vital water filtration device for our partner medical teams in Ukraine, and your donation will also provide a year of safe water to a child in need via a program based in Kenya.
Our team has travelled to some of the hardest hit areas in Ukraine delivering aid and helping evacuate people and their pets, and we've witnessed towns and villages with no access to clean water for months.
The medical teams we support, risking their lives helping others on the front lines and in isolated communities, need access to clean water to be able to do their jobs. A single Life Straw personal water purification device allows them to treat others and remain active, saving the lives of countless innocents caught in the fighting. Our teams personally deliver these devices to our partner medics and to the vulnerable in communities with no access to water. Purchase one of these devices from us as a donation and you will save countless lives.
Furthermore, Life Straw will match every purchase with a garauntee of access to clean , safe water for a child in need via their Kenyan based Give Back Program.
This purchase provides access to a recording of an Online Panel discussion held on 26th Feb 2022 featuring Gabi Parkham (she/her) David Kam (he/him) Jacoby Ballard (he/they) Sarah Vallance (they/she) Jordan Hope Miller / Crow (he/him ).
Yoga is a practice that should be available to ALL, but we know that many people feel excluded & unwelcome in mainstream yoga classes. Yoga classes are often very heteronormative and cisnormative spaces.
This vital discussion features a guest panel of LGBTQIA+ yoga teachers - hosted by Gabi Parkham (she/her) featuring David Kam (he/him) Jacoby Ballard (he/they) Sarah Vallance (they/she) Jordan Hope Miller / Crow (he/him) for an open conversation that will explore the experience of LGBTQIA+ people in yoga. We'll be talking about making yoga spaces as LGBTQIA+ friendly as possible, queering yoga itself, and intersectionality. About safety, inclusion, equity & justice. Micro aggressions and discrimination. Pregnancy. Pronouns. Whatever comes up for our panel and whatever you want to ask or discuss. We will save time at the end for questions and comments from the audience and the conversation will be recorded for everyone who signs up.
If you want to feel more confident supporting LGBTQIA+ students in your classes and learn how you can encourage more LGBTQIA+ people to practice yoga, then this conversation is definitely for you.
We will take an intersectional, trauma sensitive, anti-racist, & body positive approach as we investigate discrimination, oppression, power, & LGBTphobia.
At the end of this discussion you will:
•Feel more confident supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Non-Binary, Intersex, Asexual, Queer and Questioning students in your classes and studios
•Understand the context of LGBTQIA+ experiences in the Yoga space
• Have a greater understanding of power, privilege, and how to be an ally for LGBTQIA+ people in your community
